Why Gymnastics?

Most healthy children have an innate need to play, move, run, jump and climb. Gymnastics provides the perfect structure and opportunity to do all of these things. At NorthWind, we strive to nurture that limitless energy and channel it into fun and rewarding activities and skills. Gymnastics training and conditioning improves strength and muscle tone while reinforcing coordination, movement and balance. Gymnastics helps growing children learn to be comfortable in their bodies and reinforces postive self-image. Concerned that your kids are spending too much time in front of TV? Get them off the couch and into the Gym! Contact us today for more information!

Rhythmic Gymnastics is a lyrical and graceful sport, which utilizes music, choreography and colorful equipment such as ribbons, balls and hoops in athletic and artful floor routines. Classes will emphasize flexibility, coordination and body position and students should develop good posture, balance and strength, often without even realizing they are exercising! This exciting new program will be supervised by our new coach Ms Olga Aganesova, a former Rhythmic Gymnastics National Champion! Rhythmic Gymnastics is one of the most beautiful Olympic sports events and NorthWind is thrilled to be one of the first gyms in North Georgia to introduce it to young local athletes!
